Les thèmes traités incluent les méthodes expérimentales et l’interprétation des données et des preuves. L’événement se déroulera en anglais. // Probabilistic and statistical reasoning are an inherent part of multiple levels of scientific theorizing, from the representation of physical theories, to the treatment and analysis of data. In the former case, we might ask how probabilistic descriptions should fundamentally describe the world. In experimental contexts, a key question is how we can consider our results to be reliable, as issues arise from the proper way to interpret the results of statistical analyses, as well as how to best work with statistical or simulated data. This workshop brings together researchers working on several related issues. Themes to be covered include approaches to meta-analyses of randomized control trials, the reliability of simulated data in cosmological contexts, techniques for counteracting experimenter bias in particle physics, and the probabilistic nature of quantum theory.
